Ran across this on the Doomtree site the other day and bought it on iTunes last night. Good 10 track album, can’t complain at all. A couple of the tracks were also on “False Hopes 13″ that came with the Doomtree Blowout 2 DVD, but it’s still money well spent. Out of ALL the Doomtree songs made so far, two of them that belong to Sims are my absolute favorite: “Frontline” and “Osmosis”. Support independent music anywhere and anyway you can. Doomtree is about as good as it gets for posse cuts with intelligence these days…and Lazerbeak really is a f*cking genius.
P.O.S’ new album “Never Better” drops Tuesday, February 3rd!
I’ve had it for a hot minute now and it’s amazing. Sonically intriguing, lyrically incredible, and damn fun to listen to and dissect. It’s a little weird slowly becoming close with thsee artists in real life, and then listening to their stuff. When I was working at the Rhymesayers office in late August for a few days, I got the chance to hang out with Stef a little bit. I’ve met him a few times at concerts but this was the first chilling time. Great guy and really fun to be around.
Head to his MySpace page and click the links of top to buy the album at the place of your choice!
Here’s one of SIX videos made from this album, “Drumroll” :
Mac’s one of the newest Rhymesayers cats, and runs his own label, Black Clover Records. One of the nicest dudes ever. The last few years have brough him some heavy shit, including the loss of his mother. My WinAmp was just on shuffle and this song came on…can’t help but share it. This is off of his Love Potion #4 record. Word.
After a record label battle and internet shenanigans…Muxtape is finally back up and kicking. There’s 12 artists featured right now, but the site will open to the universe soon. You bet your ass I’ll be making the Rhymesayers pages. Should be a fun adventure.
“Never Come Down (The Brownie Song)” is the name of this new jam from them dudes. Who’s excited for the new album? THIS GUY.
